We would be honored to give you your bridal glow. Wedding planning can be overwhelming so we’ve put together a guide of all the spray tan essentials you’ll need to know.

Wedding ready airbrush tanning

We are bridal spray tan experts! We’ve got you covered. We offer services for you and everyone in your bridal party!

  • A package of (2) The Luxe airbrush tans! This package includes your glow for the big day + a trial tan to ensure you’re obsessed with your tan and that there are no surprises on your wedding day!

    (2) The Luxe: $110

    Tip: Schedule your trial for your shower or bachelor/bachelorette party.

  • Bring in the guys and gals for your bach, shower, or wedding day! If your ride-or-dies can’t all make it the same day, don’t fret – we’ve got you! Call us in advance to setup your Bride Tribe!

ALL THINGS BRIDAL

  • We recommend two days prior to the big day! 

    Often this timing lands on the day of your rehearsal! In this case, you can definitely spray tan the morning of your rehearsal OR the evening before your rehearsal day

    • Note: If you tan the evening before rehearsal (3 days before wedding) you will be tan for your rehearsal

    • If you tan the morning of your rehearsal (2 days before the wedding) you will see some color that evening but your spray tan takes 24 hours to FULLY develop.  

    • Please allow yourself plenty of time to process (1-5 hours) before rinsing. 

  • Your spray tan should be your last beauty service and should take place 1-3 days before the big day. Please complete all other bridal beauty services (nails, pedicure, facial, massages, waxing) at least 24 hours before your spray tan appointment. 

    Most brides prefer to spray tan 2 days prior to the wedding day! For example, if your wedding is on Saturday, many brides will tan on Thursday. 

    It’s also very common to tan 3 days prior to your wedding because of rehearsal timing! In this scenario, we recommend purchasing Spritz, the best product to ensure your hands stay looking bronzey after all of the hand washing we do!

  • We highly recommend a trial spray tan at least 4 weeks prior to your wedding spray tan. IMO it’s just as important as your makeup trial! 

    Your trial is an opportunity for you to test your wedding day glow to ensure you don’t have any surprises on the big day.  We highly recommend coordinating your trial spray tan with your bridal hair and makeup trial to give you the best idea of your wedding day look. Scheduling your trial to take place 2 days prior to your makeup trial is ideal!

  • Don’t forget to invite your bridal party, friends and family to glow with you!

    We don’t want you to be the only one glowing in your photos and additionally, if you schedule a bridal party at The Bronze Bar, you will create new memories as this becomes a pre-wedding event! Sip champagne and enjoy time with your closest girls before the big day.

    We offer a 10% discount exclusive for your crew! 

  • Individual appointments are easy to book online! If you’re interested in booking multiple appointments for your bridal party, it’s best to coordinate with The Bronze Bar by emailing info@thebronzebarmi.com or calling 586-746-6111. 

  • Spray tans aren’t makeup! Once you’ve rinsed off the cosmetic bronzer (initial color you see post application) you are left with your skin that has browned from the chemical reaction that has taken place. If you see remnants of brown on the inside of your dress, this is skin that has rubbed off. If this does happen, don’t worry, it comes off with one laundry cycle/dry cleaning.

  • With proper prep and after-care, spray tans last on average one week (5-10 days) depending on your activity levels! We highly recommend Extend, to add days onto the life of your spray tan!

    • No perfume

    • No lotion/oils

    • Moisturize your face

    • Wear (or bring with you) very loose dark clothing.

    • No sweating, no getting wet, no skin-on-skin touching until you rinse.

    • It’s crucial you do not touch your skin after your tan. You risk discolored fingertips and white spots where you have touched. No touching! 

    • First Rinse : Your artist will instruct you to rinse at a specific time. At this time, rinse with warm water - no soap, no loofah, no wash cloth - nothing except warm water. You may need to rub gently with your hands.

    • Avoid exfoliation throughout the life of your tan! Your spray tan is attached to the top layer of skin, therefore exfoliation will remove your tan. Exfoliation can occur naturally or intentionally. A few tips to prevent you from unintentionally removing your tan: 

      • Avoid hot, long showers 

      • Avoid soaking in a bathtub or hot tub

      • Limit chlorine and/or salt water exposure

      • Do not sure loofah, washcloth or dry brush

      • Do not use any exfoliating products (until you’re ready to remove your tan).

      • Pat dry with your towel instead of rubbing

      • LIMIT shaving and do not shave within the first 24-48 hours post tan

      • Shower gel or bar soap applied by hand is the best option for cleansing and a gentle facial cleanser is recommended. 

      • Avoid lotions or soap that contain alcohol, mineral oil, sulfates, parabens, and fragrance. It’s highly recommended to use all-natural products OR The Bronze Bar products made specifically for spray tans.

    • SPF! Your tan will NOT protect you from the suns damaging rays. ALWAYS wear sunscreen with at least 30 SPF. 

    • Hydrate and moisturize to extend the life of your tan! Avoid products with harsh chemicals.

    • Spray tans are NOT meant to be layered. Before your next session, be sure to remove all previous tan from your skin.
